If Clerical Abuse ISN’T Catholic, What Is the Source?

If Clerical Abuse ISN’T Catholic, What Is the Source?

Systematic Abuse, Manipulation, Intimidation and Coverup spans more than decades…yet, this isn’t about the Catholic Faith (or is it?)

Prior to reading this quick thread, please head to Emerald Robinson’s report:

Fr Jacob Bertrand plead guilty in 2018, and received 10yrs probation (still imposed).

In 2007, he attended the North American College in Rome, where he began grooming at least one of his victims:

During the time Bertrand attended the North American College, he was connected to at least two known sexual predators:

—Peter Mitchell (laicized, aka “Giuseppe Pellegrino”)who has worked as a translator for Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano.

—Jeremy Leatherby (laicized in 2020)

Despite his narratives, Peter Mitchell was credibly accused of sexual abuse within the sacraments in TWO dioceses: Lincoln, NE and Greenbay, WI.

The latter diocese openly admitted to accepting him, despite his record in Lincoln.

Mitchell was laicized, later “blowing the whistle” on “homosexual abuse” of Lincoln, NE seminarians. In this, he received unquestioned support by conservatives, especially in the media.

Mitchell began writing under the name “Giuseppe Pellegrino”, despite the conditions that he in no way involve himself in Church leadership, politics, spiritual direction imposed on him for his sacrilege and sexual abuse in Greenbay.

When, in 2020 I was notified and able to verify (personal communication via email, and supported with two additional source documents) that Peter Mitchell was working for Vigano, I notified all editors and journalists publishing Vigano’s texts.

Dr Taylor Marshall personally confirmed he notified Vigano he was working with a sexual predator.

Excuses reflecting belief in Mitchell’s narratives were made by Vigano, and most of the conservative journalists STILL publishing him.

During this time, Mitchell also published multiple points of support of his friend, Fr Jeremy Leatherby, a man he knew from the North American College—suspended by his Bishop for sexual abuse, grooming.

Since his exposure, Mitchell has sought to erase all social media footprint.

Jeremy Leatherby, who had been suspended from ministry, continued to communicate with victims—all female (video evidence was provided to me) while (like Mitchell) claiming he was a persecuted whistleblower against homosexual priests.

Like Mitchell, many “conservatives” believed his narratives without confirming.

When Bishops closed the churches due to COVID, Leatherby used the crisis as a “justifiable excuse” to disobey his suspension.

When he was confronted, Leatherby wrote he rejected Pope Francis, stating Pope Benedict was true pope.

His Bishop, learning these, excommunicated him.

Leatherby stood by his statements, requesting laicization. The Vatican accepted his request and—similarly to that of Peter Mitchell—ENDED the canonical investigations into his sexual grooming and abuse in the Sacraments.

His victims receiving no justice.
